Andre was born January 11, 1983 to Deborah and Robert L. Burdine Jr. and departed this earthly life on
June 30, 2019 at the age of 36 at his home in Columbus, Ohio.
Andre was educated in both New Jersey public and Catholic schools where he graduated. While in New
Jersey, Andre attended his home church Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. Andre moved to
Columbus, Ohio in 2005 with his Grandmother and mom to start a new life. He had a career in customer
service with many different companies until his health prevented him from working.
Andre loved cars, cooking, traveling, dogs, fish, Shopping (Grocery & Amazon), and entertaining. He
always had a gentle heart, would give the shirt off his back if he could. He touched everyone’s heart
whom he came in contact with. Andre will be truly missed by everyone till we all meet him in the air.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Ruth Patterson -Grey, his uncles Bill Patterson, and
Lawrence Cochran, his mother- in- law Shirelle L Collins, and his cousin- in- law Aadam( Robin)
Muhammad.
He leaves to cherish his memory his Husband of many years David Collins-Burdine, parents Deborah
and Robert Burdine, uncle Bobby Grey, his Cousins Berta(William) Douglas, Jason Childs and Cookie
Patterson. His God mothers Cheryl July-LaBranche and Rev Angie Michael, his in-laws Wanetta
Collins(Grandmother) Donald (Bernice) Collins(grandfather), Bobby Rogers Jr.( Brother) his aunts
Jackie(Carl) Lewis, Brenda Calhoun, Linda Collins, Beverly Hawkins, Keisha(Jerome) Smith(Al) and
Tiffany(Wayne) Straughter, Dawn Brown and Veda Norris, Ja’ Naijah Marie Obey (Niece) and so many
more. Special friends who were dear to his heart Rosia Edwards Lane, Steve Marbury, Mark Woods,
Stephanie, Kyra, and Heaven Scales, Michele, Cindy, and Aaron Dansler, Norman (Smitty) Smith, Teresa
Ferguson, Bobby (Dorothy) Gatewood and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation 6:00pm and Funeral 7:00pm Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Travelers Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 1533 Cleveland Ave.
Entombment 10:00am Friday at Union Cemetery.
Condolences for the family of “Andre Burdine-Collins”
Sorry I could not make it but I wanted to give my deepest condolences to David and the rest of Andre’s family. From the little bit of time that I’ve known Andre, he has been very kind hearted and caring to me and everyone else around him. Despite the physical loss of him we know that God has assigned him to watch over you and your family throughout life.
Robert and Deborah, We can’t begin to imagine what you are feeling, but please let us share our heartfelt condolences. God Confort us through his Word the Bible and the gift of prayer. With in your heart and memories Andre will always be close by.
My condolences to David and the family . Andre and his grand mom and mother was part of church family for many years . He was a dear friend. He will be truly missed . May God bless him and rest well. We will keep you all in in our prayers God Bless .
This man had a piece of my ❤️ on the first day of meeting him. He will always be in my heart. Love and miss you. I know you are in heaven right now. Until we meet again. RIP
