Andrea Marie Moorer, affectionately known as “Pooh” was born on April 6, 1973 In Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert Moorer and Ruth Ann Moorer.

She was a product of the Columbus City Schools where she attended Marion Franklin High School. Andrea was a loving, compassionate, and confident woman, much like her mother. She had a bright and energetic personality, her smile and laughter was infectious. She was affectionately known by family and friends as Pooh Pooh and Big Gal. She whole-heartedly loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews, with whom she was like a second mother. However, in 2002 she entered the proudest chapter in her life as she began her journey into motherhood. Andrea’s two children, Ania and D’Andre were her whole reason for living. Her life seemed to take on new meaning, her children were her joy in life and they gave her purpose.

Andrea didn’t get around much later in life, but she truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting and joking with family and friends in real life and online, snacking, sleeping, gambling, spending time with her children, family and friends alike. Andrea had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way as she touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

Andrea peacefully departed this life on Sunday, January 7, 2018 at her home. Proceeded in death by parents, Robert Moorer and Ruth Ann Moorer. She leaves to cherish fond memories, daughter; Ania Clark, son; D’Andre Moorer; brother, Robert (Diana) Moorer, Sean Dorsey, sisters; Delores Moorer, Roberta Zimmerman, Alexis Moorer, step-mom; Nancy Moorer; nephews; Joseph, Tommy, Robert, Ruben, Joshua, Antonio, and Alegend, nieces; Sophia, Angel, Tionna, Whitney, Joye and Reva, great-nephews, great-nieces and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and friends.

To the family of Andrea, you have my deepest sympathy in your loss. Death is one of the most difficult situations we must face. Our Heavenly Father assures us at Isaiah 25:8 that “He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces.” May you find comfort when reading God’s promises of the resurrection of the dead (Acts 24:15; John 5:28 and Revelation 21:4).

To my beloved nieces and nephews. One of the most difficult things in life to deal with is the death of a loved one. Trying to balance the feelings of loss and pain while going forward with everyday life will be most trying but we lean on God’s everlasting arms for strength and reassurance. Andrea, affectionately known to us as Pooh, will be missed dearly with gentle reminders of her smile and laughter. Sorry I’m unable to be with you all physically but my heart is grieving with you the same. I want to leave you with these words of comfort. John 14 (1-3) Do not let your hearts be trouble. You believe in God also believe in me. My fathers house has many rooms, if that was not so, I would not have told you that I’m going to prepare a place for you. And if I go to prepare a place for you I will come back and take you to be with me that you also will be where I am. Amen. Love Always, Auntie Hattie Pullom
