Ann Elizabeth Clifton

CliftonAnn

Ann Elizabeth Clifton was born November 12, 1942 in Bardstown, Kentucky and made Columbus, OH her home in the mid sixties. As an adult, Ann worked several jobs in the public sector and retired from Franklin County Children Services in 2007, after 22 years of service as a Community Service Worker. After retiring, she worked as a loving Foster Parent for the last twelve years. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She made friends everywhere she went.

Ann was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She leaves to cherish her memories seven children: Rose Knorwood (Will), Joyce Williams-Ford (Richard), Donald Williams (Lisa), Roslyn Clifton (Roderick), Sharon Clifton, James Clifton (Monique), and Michael Clifton (Erica), all of Columbus, OH. She especially loved her role as Nana, Grammy and GiGi and leaves 37 grandchildren, 66 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. Ann had several sister-like friends that she cherished dearly and a host of nieces and nephews.

After a courageous battle, Ann’s journey came to an end on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at The James Cancer Hospital of Columbus. Preceding her in death are her parents Alonzo Guthrie and Sarah Greene and loving grandmother, Beatrice Robinson.

In addition, Ann was a member of the Eastern Stars and a longtime member of The Moving Ladies Social Club for many years.

To the Clifton family. My heart is with you and your family at this time of your loss. There is comfort in knowing God’s promises about the resurrection hope. (Acts 24:15) and (John 5:28,29) In the past God has resurrected humans and He is eager to do it again because He hates death. (Mark 5:41-43) It is not God’s purpose originally for mankind to grow old, get sick and die. To learn more about God’s promises go to JW.ORG. There are online Bible study lessons featured and more. Love, Your Neighbor Irish J. Richardson
