Anthony “Wee Wop” Delane Alls was fifty years old. Anthony was born on August 2, 1972, and passed away on December 10, 2022. He was born to the parents of Monroe Jr. Alls and Adrian Alls, who before Anthony’s birth had a family of 5 children so Anthony was the sixth child, at his birth. Anthony was not the youngest child for very long, because later next year (1973), my parents added a new bundle of joy, a new baby brother Julius (a.k.a – Hulk) which made a total of seven children. Starting with the oldest to youngest sibling’s name: James (Booboo), Willie (Gomez), Cynthia (Stackey), Daniel (Scab), Ronald (Scoobie) and Julius (Hulk) and a total family of nine including my parents. My parents later divorced (1980s) and father remarried and mother did not remary.

Our family always had pets (dogs) which is probably how and why Anthony acquired his love for animals. I guess you can say he was an animal lover as a child and up to adulthood. I believe his favorite pet dog was “Lulu and Max,” they belonged to Anthony and brother Julius when they were about 11 and 12 years old and of course we all shared the family favorite pet dog “champ.”

Also, as a young child he loved going on family excursions (to places such as: Buckeye lake,Hoover dam, Fremont and the fishing hole. They would refer to these trips as “going fishing,” but we did much more than fish we had the best picnics on these trips. My mother would make fried chicken, potato salad, green beans and use old milk gallons to store kool-aid for beverages when we went on these excursions. But the most entertaining part of these trips wasn’t the food, I can definitely speak for Anthony and the rest of my brothers, the most exciting part of these family trips was all of us being together (all nine of us as a family) fishing-competing who catch the most fish, playing together, laughing, joking, being injured because there was too much horse play and mom would have to nurse us back to health and then not too long after, probably same siblings (Anthony, Julius, Ronald and Daniel) would experience a new injury because they could never keep still for very long especially on what they refer to as we
“going fishing.” Although, the food was amazing, bonding with parents and siblings was the best part of these trips. I can and many individuals who know, love and care very much about Anthony, may say as a child and adulthood he had entrepreneur traits, he was a very ambitious brother, for example, as a child during winter months, Anthony, loved his seasonal job as shoveling snow within and outside of the community and he and brothers had a very properous hustle going on doing this and made lots of money. They would travel as far as Bexley, Ohio (East side of town) and our residence was located on the North side of town during this time. I really do not understand how they were able to accomplish this due to the sometimes extreme winter temperatures being around 20 and 30 degreeish. But it was Anthony’s and three younger brother’s (Ronald, Julius and Daniel) strong desire and determination to succeed and when they returned home, wet and cold, coughing and sneezing and sometimes the symptoms progressed to being feverish, mom, would do whatever she could possibly do as a mother to make them feel better and prevent the symptoms from progressing into a more serious health condition. The facial expressions that they conveyes and their conversations amongst themselves confirmed that being outside shoveling neighbors
sidewalks, driveways in those conditions was all worth it because they returned with “lots of candy, gum, ice cream, cakes, ho ho, twinkies and all kinds of junk food they could possibly buy and consume and of course they would always share some of their monetary fortunes with mom to purchase food.
My family and I, do not want you to get the wrong idea about us. We didn’t have a perfect family but then nobody has a perfect family or perfect as an individual. The time we spent together as a family caused us to form strong, emotional bonds as kids throughout adulthood. Anthony, was a very very giving son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. He didn’t have children and alway want the best clothes and shoes for his nieces and nephews.

He would financially help parents, siblings, cousins, aunts and uncles when in need. I and many family and friends attending today would sincerely SAY, Anthony loves, cares, and always tried to
protect all of us. We will always remember Anthony (a.k.a WEE WOP) for being a giving person from the heart, and as Anthony has said to my mother many times, Adrian Alls, “YOU ARE THE BEST THING THAT EVER HAPPENED TO ME – YOU ARE MY MOTHER, I LOVE YOU MOM!”
