Anthony James Wilson, Jr. was born January 18, 1994 in Columbus, Ohio. He departed this earthly life on December 8, 2019 at the age of 25.

Anthony accepted Christ at the early age of 12 on February 5, 2006. He united with the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorate of Dr. G. Thomas Turner, Sr. and continued his membership under the current pastor, Dr. Scottie Aaron.

Anthony was active in the Young David’s, Soldiers of the Light Drill Team, Youth Fellowship, Youth Choir and Sunday Church School.

Anthony was a graduate of Columbus Public Schools. He briefly attended Columbus State Community College.

Anthony joined the United States Army November 6, 2014 and as Pvt. Wilson, he completed his basic training at Charlie Company of 787 Military Police Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Anthony was employed by the Willowtree Janitorial Company of Marengo, Ohio.

Anthony enjoyed chess and competed in tournaments throughout the City of Columbus and State of Ohio. He played AAU Basketball and weekend pickup basketball games with his grandfather Wilson, participating in First Tee at an early age and later golfing with his uncle, Norman Murice Wilson and the Annual Golf Outing the Men’s Fellowship of FMBC.

Anthony enjoyed cycling and affiliation with several motorcycle organizations, locally and statewide.

Anthony is preceded in death by his grandfathers, James N. Wilson, Jr.; great grandfathers, Horace Brown, Sr., James N. Wilson, Sr. Clyde Eberhart, Sr., and Dee Jay Henry; grandmother, Marian Henry; great grandmother, Mary Bynum; and many other family members, too numerous to name.

Anthony leaves to cherish his memory, children, twins, Zion and Zionna, Anthony J. III, Raelynn, Eli, and Isaiah and their mothers; mother, Teirsa Henry (Keith) Martin; father, Anthony J. Wilson, Sr., Joseph Hight; siblings, Alexis, Karyn, and Mia Wilson, Kiera, Kiana, Keith, and Kevin Martin, Mychia Crocket and Tarika Green; grandmothers, Angelia Wilson Brown and Sonja (Malcolm) Goff; great grandmother, Louise G. Brown; and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, the Smith, Bell, Dalton and Fox families, the Kicks and Motorcycle nation.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Friday, December 20, 2019 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

I will miss Doc so much. He had a way of uplifting you when you were at the lowest point. He so had a way of making me laugh when I would put on my mean mug and I couldn’t stand it anymore, and gave Into the laughter. He was an enigma and will always be remembered.
