DraughonAnton

Anton Draughon was raised on the mean streets of Columbus, Ohio. Those that knew him, know he was a true “OG” who always kept it real. You couldn’t help but respect a man who refused to be phony for the sake of other people’s opinions. He loved fishing, driving, women, and cooking, almost as much as he loved his family. He was known for teasing folks and then belly laughing when he got the best of them.

Because he was so real, he would want you to know that he hustled hard his entire life and provided for his family by any means necessary.

Anton could hold water; he didn’t snitch. He was a dependable and loyal friend who is taking many of your secrets to the grave. You should be grateful. He was real and there will never be another.

Anton founded the 100% Gorillas motorcycle club in 2016 and remained President until the day he died. He loved life and fought hard to keep living it. He never gave up despite continued health challenges and setbacks. He continued to fight to be here and show up for himself and those he loved and respected.

But on December 5, 2022, his body gave out during the fight for life. He could have thrown in the towel long before now, but he didn’t. He kept fighting. May we all find the courage, like Anton, to be real, loyal, laugh out loud, and to keep fighting for life.

Anton loved a lot of folks, but here are some of the extra special ones.

Anton is preceded in death by his brother, Dimitri Draughon; father, Arthur Randolph Morris; and grandmother, Genevieve Draughon.

Anton leaves behind his mother, Trina Draughon; siblings, Antonio Hunter, Angus Morris, and Artkina Celestine; children, Anton “Bubba” Draughon Jr. and Brooklyn Draughon; grandchildren, Kayden Leeper and Kierre Bowman; nephew, D.J. Draughon; special friend, Patty Engle; and a host of special cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at Gospel Tabernacle United Holy Church, 1205 Hildreth Ave. Interment at Union Cemetery.
