Antwanette Marie Carey 35, of Columbus Ohio, was called to her eternal home Friday, January 20, 2023, while being comforted by her loving family and friends who loved her dearly. Anwanette was born December 21, 1987, in Beckley W.V. to the late Racheal Johnson and David Carey.
She had a very vivid personality. She was great at many things such as being a mother, drawing, hair, and makeup. She went by many names like “Lady Bug”, “Nette”, “Love Bug”, and “Shorty”.
Anwanette is preceded in death by her mother; Rachael Johnson, father; David Carey, daughter; Taleah Scott, grandfathers; Willie Tate and Caleb Boston, brothers; James Kyle and Juan Greer.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories, five amazing children; Ja’zonna Ferguson of Huntington W.V. Racheal Johnson, Tarrick Scott, Sa’Nyah O’Neal and Princess O’Neal of Columbus Ohio, grandmother; Evelyn Boston of Columbus Ohio, second mother; Mary Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, aunt; Shantell Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, uncles; Cherokee Johnson (Sheri) of Charleston WV., Juan Walton of Columbus, Ohio, brothers; Jason Johnson and Naquinn Johnson of Columbus, Ohio, Anthony Johnson of Atlanta, GA., cousins; Marquez Johnson, Ma’Lyka Dawson, Martell Dawson of Columbus, Ohio, Special Friends; Lamont Clark, Daisy Walton, Grace O’Neal of Columbus, Ohio. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family and friends.
Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Thursday, February 2, 2023 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
Interment at Evergreen Burial Park
