Aquante’ lee Braswell, age 30 (known to many as Q) was born on August 17, 1989 in Columbus, ohio. The lord sent an angel for Aquante’ who transitioned this life on the evening of May 13, 2020 at Hermann Memorial SW Hospital in Houston, Texas. Aquante’ was a graduate of Brookhaven High School, then he continued his education at Texas southern university in Houston, Texas. Aquante’ was employed by Teleperformance in Ohio who transferred him to Texas.

Aquante’ grew up around all sports and was known to master any challenge that came his way. Q was very athletic from the time he started to walk. At the tender age of 4 years old, Q started playing organized little league basketball & football. Q continued playing basketball throughout his childhood life with City league recreation to 3-on-3 Gus Maker’s to AAU to high school.

In 2001 he was a Jr. Olympic Silver Glove Champ, his boxing training was out of Lula Pearl Douglas recreation center under Vonzell Johnson.

In 2006 he was awarded his 1st degree black belt in karate under Hanshi Rick Moore at the Rick Moore academy.

In 2006/2007 he attended both years on Coach Ginn College Bus Tour – visiting 13 colleges/universities in 13 days. All football combines were hosted by Coach Ted Ginn, Sr, the bus departed from Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio – 2007 Q was named Captain of the Tour Bus.

In 2007 he attended an All-Combine Team Camp in Cincinnati, Ohio for football.

In 2008 during his tenure at Brookhaven High School, he played on the basketball team, he played as quarterback(QB) on the football team, starting QB on JV team and then his senior year Q was the starting QB for Brookhaven, Q became an avid bowler from youth to high school to adulthood. also as a senior the City Schools implemented the bowling leagues. As co-captain of Brookhaven Bowling team, Q’s average was 208 in high school. This was the first inaugural year for Columbus City Schools, where his team did exceptionally well. Setting team records that were hard to beat.

Aquante’ leaves to cherish his memories a son Aden Lee Braswell, his parents Eddie Lee & Aprill Lateef Braswell, brother Ansuan l. Jackson, sister Anee’ L. Braswell, cousin Kevin S. Braswell, god-sisters Tierra (Brandon) Jackson & Akeya Wright, aunts Angela L. Jackson & Kim Braswell (Anthony Neal), god-mom Yvette Dimmy, special friend to family H. Leonard (Dorothy) Strong and a host of relatives and friends. 

Aquante’ joins the heavenly party by his side is his grandparents Eddie Lee (Annette) Braswell, Sr, Naomi Braswell, Svengalii “Guy” Jackson, & Wannetta O’Bannon Jackson, uncles Kevin Braswell & Anayka L. Jackson, cousins Robert “Ice” Braswell & Antoine L. Neal they all in that special place behind the White Pearly Gates.

Public Viewing Sunday May 31, 2020 5:00PM-6:00PM at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Monday, June 1, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Mask & Gloves are mandatory.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
