Arnold Alphonso Saylor was born on July 20, 1959 in Brooklyn NY to Rose and Willie Alphonso Saylor. Arnold was the third of their five children. He received his high school diploma after graduating Sarah J. High School. Always looking to laugh Arnold was an active sports fan. Arnold was always a hard worker throughout his life and had many coworkers who became like family throughout the years. His last job was a Bus Operator for COTA (Central Ohio Transit Authority)Columbus Ohio, where he was blessed not only to find a job that he enjoyed but was able to meet his soul mate Shirley Smith who he married and truly loved.
Arnold was Preceded in death his parents Rose and Willie Alphonso Saylor and is soon to be reunited with his daughter Stephanie Saylor who left this life in the first weeks of her precious life.
Arnold leaves behind to cherish his Wife Shirley Saylor,brothers Raymond Saylor and Willie Alphonso Jr. Sisters Rosalyn Saylor and Rachael Saylor. Son Arnold Saylor Jr. (AJ) Daughters Tara Hines, Lashauwn Smith, and LaKeshia Fuller. Granddaughter’s Taylyn Hines, LaShaya, LeiMya, Jayla, LaKeya, and ZiMiracle. Grandson’s KeSean and JaMonte
Special Grandson LaRon and Special Friend/Brother Ted Brown both was always there for Arnold.
Arnold leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews coworkers, family and friends.
Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
Interment at Evergreen Cemetery.
We love you Uncle Arnold and you will forever be in our hearts. May the peace you have now spread to all that love you as we seek to continue in this life.
