Barbara Lorraine Powell Watts of Columbus, Ohio went to her heavenly home on April 12, 2020. She was born on April 5, 1939 in Lynch, Ky to her late parents, James Powell and Annie Anderson Powell Jackson. She is preceded in death along with her parents, her husband, Lonnie Watts; 3 sisters, Sarah Jones, Gloria Reed, and Nancy Jackson; daughter, Petria Powell; grandchildren, Chrystina Dooley and Jaurice Blakely. She retired from the Donut Hole. She loved football and her favorite team was the Dallas Cowboys. She loved shooting pool where she was the captain of a team called The Wild Thang. She gave her life to Christ and became a member of God’s House Prayer. She loved her family and attending the annual Jackson Family Reunion. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her children, Gwendlyen Newson, Glendell Powell, Tyrone Powell ( Blossom), Cheryl Womack, Jerry Powell, Phillip Powell (Daphne), and Albert Powell (Darnice). Also, surviving are her siblings, Corla Rankin (Gregory), Leola Page, Earnestine Richmond (Paul), Lorenzo Powell (Dorothy), Jerry Jackson and Johnnie Jackson (Julia); 33 grandchildren; 85 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Visitation 4:00 PM and Funeral Service 5:00 PM Saturday, April 18, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd).
