Barry Upchurch, Sr., son of Eddie-Lee and Rudell Upchurch was born January 2, 1966 in Tuscaloosa, AL.
Barry loved his Dallas Cowboys and the Alabama Rolling Tide. He also loved playing tunk and dominos with his family and most importantly fishing, always saying “whoever doesn’t catch a fish has to walk home”. His favorite type of music was jazz and blues, especially Johnny Taylor.
Barry is preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Rudell Upchurch; daughter, NaSasha Jones; and grandson, Davion Smith.
He is remembered by his wife, Altimeice Upchurch; children, Barry Upchurch Jr., Eboni Scott, Lateshia Jones, Lakeshia Jones, and Danielle (Courtney Williams); siblings Richard (Gayle) Upchurch, Eddie-Ray Upchurch, Calvin (Shalonda) Upchurch, Deborah (Richard) Reavish, June Upchurch, and Vickie Upchurch; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Barry will be fondly remembered by all those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
