Bertha Mae Culbreath was born on July 24, 1943 in Steubenville to the union of Arthur & Mattie Culbreath. On Saturday January 25, 2020 Bertha answered the call of her Heavenly Father.

Bertha attended Steubenville Public HS “Big Red” and went to earn a certificate of completion done at AME Women’s Home & Overseas Missionary Society on June 3, 1992. She graduated from Payne A Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio on May 19, 1994. She went to earn the right of being a “Reverend” which honored her to Baptize, to Solemnize the Rite of Matrimony and to Feed the Flock of Christ on June 19, 1994 done at St. James AME Church in Massillon, Ohio and Secretary of State of Ohio. She earned her Pastor’s Certificate of Appointment done at Wesley Temple AME Zion Church in Akron, Ohio on June 16, 1996. She was nominated by the NSBA (National Small Business Alliance) as a Platinum Member on March 3, 2009.

Bertha married Raymond Mohammed in July 1963, from this union they raised and gave birth to four daughters, Rhonda Marie, Darla Noreen, Yvonne Lynn and Sharon Paulette Manson.

Bertha is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur & Mattie Culbreath, brothers, Arthur Jr., Ronald, Sylvester, and Raymond Culbreath; sister, Mattie Arlene Culbreath.

Left to Cherish her memories are, daughters, Rhonda (Alton) Lewis, Darla (Hamilton) Simmons, Yvonne Lynn (Paul) Seals, Sharon (Mark) Williams; sisters, Mamie Miller, Patricia Angel, Barbara Holmes, Jeanette (Norman) Archie; brother, Clarence Culbreath; grandchildren, Raymond Manson, Christopher Johnson, Paul Seals, Steve (Briana) Williams, Christina Johnson, Markyta (Shawn) Edwards, Justyn Seals, Faith Simmons, Miles Simmons and a host great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Bertha will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loved her.

Visitation 11:00AM and Funeral Service 12:00PM Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Hope Alive World Outreach Ministries. 6055 Taylor Road, 43230.
