Bertha Mae Board, 89, passed away on August 5, 2021. Bertha was born on November 29, 1931 in Glen White, WV to John Little and Mary Little.

Bertha was a member of Mansfield First Assembly where she served with the Sick and Shut In Ministry. She loved to spend time with her family, fishing and sewing. She is preceeded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Warren Guy Board; son James Porter and siblings Leroy Little, Otis Little, Ann Daniels, and Carol Sattlewhite. Bertha is survived by her children, Leander Board, Ramona Jefferson and Darrel (Penny) Board; 9 grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Public Viewing 10:00am followed by a Private Family Funeral at 11:00am Friday August 13, 2021 at MARLAN GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD (formerly Williams Funeral Services) 753 McPherson St. Interment at Mansfield Cemetery.

Mama Bertha was dear to me. She kept me and my son covered in prayer for 23 plus years. She was full of love and laughter wich she shared freely. I’m looking forward to sharing that love and laughter with her when we meet again in heaven. You are all in my prayers during this time if her homecoming.

Lee, Darrel, Ramona, I was devastated when I learned that I had lost my dear friend of 40 plus years. Bertha and I had so much in common. I will really miss our long phone conversations and being her hairdresser for all those years. Praying for the family. RIH Bertha, we love you until we meet again.
