Betty Miller

Betty (Johnson) Miller was born on October 15th, 1962, to the union of Raymond and Roberta Johnson in Columbus, Ohio.

Betty accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church at an early age.

Betty received her formal education in the Columbus Public Schools and was a graduate of Northland High School, Class of 1981 and Heritage College.

She relocated to Detroit, Michigan for a number of years where she spent time forming closer bonds with her family in Detroit. She then relocated back home to Columbus. She then spent over 20 years working for The Ohio State University Hospital where she met the love of her life, Cecil Miller; in this union they raised four children, Raymond, Joel, Cecil Jr. and Paetra.

She then pursued her love for cooking by joining AVI Foodsytems where she was employed for 10 years and she received multiple promotions and accreditations. During this time she became a certified Sous Chef and worked under Executive Chef Tom Landusky. She later transferred to her last home account where she had the opportunity to lead and work with her eldest son, Raymond.
Betty Miller departed this life on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022, at 10:55am. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Roberta Johnson, sister, Mary Rogers Potter, and niece, Sallie Lee.

She is survived and leaves to cherish her memory to her husband, Cecil Miller, her three sons, Raymond Johnson, Joel Johnson, Cecil Miller Jr., her daughter, Paetra Miller and two granddaughters, Aubrey Busby-Miller and Deliah King; Sister, Debbie Rogers-Winston; Brother-in-Law Keith Miller, Sister-in-Laws Portia (Bob) Jackson, Renita (Ernest) Jones, Deborah (Stan) Griffin, and her special friend Denise Lester, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Memorial Service 2:00 PM Friday, March 4, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E.
