Blenda Crawley

CrawleyBlenda

Blenda graduated from Northland High School and Fort Hayes Career Center in 1991. Blenda started working for the State of Ohio (Bureaus Workers Comp) right after high school where she remained employed for 25 years. On June 23, 2001, Blenda married her one and only love George Crawley.

Blenda’s life became complete on March 13, 2005 when she gave birth to her first and only child, Mia Louise Crawley. Blenda was not only Mia’s mother, but her best friend, and her cheerleader in all aspects of life. The two of them were inseparable.

Blenda loved the lord and became a member of New Birth Christian Ministries in 2007 and often helped with children’s bible study on first Sundays. She loved her family and especially times they spent together at barbecues. She couldn’t wait for KMac’s Macaroni Cheese and some Ribs. Blenda also had a love for music like no other, and Prince, yes PRINCE. Before she passed Blenda had plans to take her daughter to see Princes home.

Blenda was what you would call a true fighter. When her body began to betray her, Blenda spirit and faith never changed. She was always ready for the battle ahead with grace and courage. Her  favorite quote has always been “if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything”.

Family gatherings will never be the same without our beloved Blenda, but she will be remembered with lots of love, fun stories and cherished memories. We will miss her terribly but she will never be forgotten.

Blenda leaves to cherish her memory, husband, George Crawley; daughter, Mia Crawley; brothers, Keith, Darryl, Steven, and Phillip Gilbert; sister, Lora Gilbert; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation 11 am, Funeral 12 pm Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at New Birth Christian Ministries, 3475 Refugee Rd. Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
