Boyden S. Estice was born on August 7, 1947 and departed on July 9, 2021. He was born in Columbus, Ohio to parents, Robert and Mary Estice.

Boyden was a graduate of East High School. Upon graduating high school, he attended Mahogany Valley Trade School for drafting located near Dayton Ohio. Boyden then entered the United States Army in February of 1969 and was honorably discharged in March of 1971. Upon being discharged, Boyden began working for the State of Ohio as a draftsman, designing highways. He then went to work for the American Electric Power Company as a security supervisor and remained there many years until he retired.

Boyden was an avid tennis player in his earlier years. He loved to travel and enjoyed attending and watching sporting events. Boyden was a member of the VFW and family was his passion.

Boyden was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary Estice; sister, Roberta Curry; and maternal grandmother, Emily J. Burgess.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Rose Mitchell-Estice; sons, Phillip (Shirley) Shobe and Boyden Wilson; step-children, Carlos Mitchell, Ylonda (Charles) Alston, and Corey Wilson; siblings, Lawrence (JoAnn), Timothy and Luke Estice. Boyden has 12 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and special cousin Billie Burgess.

Private Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Friday, July 16, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Eastlawn Cemetery.
