Brittny Lorin Malone

The Lord called Brittny Lorin Malone, 36, home on February 27, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of love and inspiration.

She was born on November 20, 1986, in Atlanta, Georgia to Thomas Edward and Lisa Kay Malone. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend., whose life touched many hearts.

Brittny was christened in 1986 at Eliezer Church of Christ under the guidance of Bishop Sandy Dunlap. Over the years Brittny would occasionally attend Eliezer for Sunday Service.

Brittny was a graduate of East High School, where she played clarinet in the marching band and was also a member of ROTC. She was an accomplished student, passionate about the creative arts and teaching others how to lean into their own creative spirit. She frequently devoted her time to the Short Stop After School Program, where she sang and wrote poetry, showcasing her talents.

After high school, Brittny became a proud Hornet at Alabama State University, a historical black college/university, where she continued scholastic achievement and her pursuit of musicianship. She was a member of the National Honor Society and the “Mighty Hornets” Marching Band, where she played her clarinet with great pride. She was also a member of the national band sorority Tau Beta Sigma, where they shared a passion for musicianship and sisterhood.

In addition to music, Brittny also had a love for arts and crafts. She spent countless hours creating beautiful pieces of art that will forever be cherished by those who knew her and appreciated her craft.

Although she loved the arts her greatest joy was becoming a mother. On April 22, 2015 Brittny welcomed Ava Kay Malone into the world.

Brittny was pro ceded in death by her parents, Thomas Edward and Lisa Kay Malone, her aunt Shirlene Smith and her grandparents Willie and Ella Louise Wright and her Uncle Mickey Thompson. She leaves behind her daughter Ava Kay Malone, who was the pr ide and joy of her life, her sister Courtny Elyse Malone and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
