Bryon K. Jones was born July 2, 1986 in Columbus, Ohio to parents Bryon K. Goodwin & Joy F. Jones.
Bryon was a very loving, and intelligent man, with a heart of gold. Many people described him as a genius. He never judged and always accepted everyone as they were. He was a family man who represented love and togetherness. He was a philosopher, always speaking knowledge and self-awareness.
Bryon had a great love for music; writing lyrics and listening to beats in the studio was a passion of his. You could always catch Bryon with his book bag and laptop! He would study for at least 6 hours a day. In 2010, Bryon passed the GED exam on his first try and immediately enrolled at Columbus State Community College. In 2013, he graduated with honors receiving his associate’s degree in science. Bryon was on the dean’s list, nominated for man of the year, a member of Trio, and also tutored students at CSCC. Before his passing, Bryon was a full-time student at Ohio Dominican University perusing a bachelor’s degree in math and chemistry.
On February 24, 2015 Bryon left his earthly body but his spirit will live on forever. He is preceded in death by grandmother Ella Jones, Great-Grandparents Paul & Mabel Goodwin, Aunt Roberta Matthews, and Godmother Peggy Humphries.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents Bryon (Cynthia) Goodwin, Joy (Michael) Gravely-Jones, Grandmother Anita Goodwin, Brother Byron (LaTonya) Jones, sisters Vanity (Gerald) Siler-Jones, Briana (Ty) Goodwin-Jones, Anita (Mike) Jones, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00 noon Tuesday March 3, 2015 at Columbus Christian Center Church 2300 N. Cassady Ave. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE 2500 Cleveland Ave.

To the family of Mr. Jones, I’m very sorry to hear Mr. Bryon passed away, Bryon was my tutor and friend, a good man that can never replaced, I’m deeply hurt and very sad as I’m writing this condolence Email, my heart goes to the his family and loved ones.
