Byron K. Goodwin Jones was born January 4, 1988, in Columbus, Ohio to parents Bryon K. Goodwin & Joy F. Jones.

Byron loved a wide variety of sports but was a true fan of the Cleveland Brown’s football team; and would often watch the games with his dad. His love for his family was one of his greatest attributes, especially the love and bond he shared with his father and mother. Byron even got his mother’s name tattooed on him as a sign of his love for her.

Byron had a green thumb, and really enjoyed gardening and landscaping. He would help his grandmother Anita maintain her garden. Everything from planting and growing fruits and vegetables, watering the garden, trimming bushes, maintaining, and cutting the lawn; By-Roni was the man for the job!

His sisters would say that he drove them crazy, but everyone can agree that he had such a goofy, comedic spirit. The laughter and joy that came with Byron will truly be missed.

During his high school years Byron attended Reynoldsburg High School.

On April 26th, 2022, Byron left his physical body, but his spirit will forever be in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his brother Bryon Jones, grandmother Ella Mae Jones, and Great-Grandparents Paul & Mabel Goodwin.

Byron leaves to cherish his memory children, Byron Kee Goodwin Jones Jr and Amyra Goodwin Jones; bonus daughter, Miayesha Terry; fiancé, Deja Terry; parents, Bryon Goodwin and Joy (Michael) Jones; grandmother, Anita Goodwin; sisters, Vanity (Gerald) Siler, Briana (Ty) Goodwin-Jones, and Anita (Le’Michael) Ijames; bonus brother, Justin (Sherail) Miller; and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. If you remember anything about Byron, always remember his determination to become his best self, with Byron you never had to question his love for you, he showed it and let you know “You Feel Me!?”.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at First Church of Christ, 1911 Oakland Park Ave.
