Carl Curtis Roberts Jr. (also known as Fu Fu) entered into this world May 23, 1974, and departed this life January 29, 2022, unexpectedly at his residence.

Carl Jr. was a wonderful son to his parents, helpful in so many ways, seeing to their needs being met.

He loved football and as a child played in the Pony League for the Riverbend Raiders. Carl attended Franklin Heights High School and played football there for the Falcons. After High School he worked for Frisch’s Big Boy and various other jobs.

He was currently employed by Agiliti and was a very devoted employee. He recently received a promotion and awesome things were spoken of him by upper management.

Carl Jr. received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and was baptized. A childhood member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Urbancrest, Ohio.  After church he visited his grandparents’ home, watching TV with his grandad watching the Cincinnati Bengals, he became a fan. He was often criticized for his love for the Bengals.  As an adult he attended The Potters House Church Of God in Columbus, Ohio.

Carl Jr. is preceded in death by maternal grandparents Lloyd and Maebelle Curtis; paternal grandparents, James and Carnell Roberts; uncle, Lloyd Curtis Jr.; niece, Adriana Roberts. He leaves to mourn, parents, Carl Sr. and Dianne Roberts; brother, Lloyd (Theresa) Roberts; sister, Nichelle Torres; niece, Jasmine and nephew, Josiah Torres; great nephew, Nathan Whitsel; special brother, Jacob (Tara) Curtis, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Friday, February 25, 2022 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Union Cemetery. FuFu… bro there is no love like the love that everyone you encountered has for you. Never a kinder spirit have I met never a bigger smile. I have so many memories over the past 30+ years. That will live FOREVER. One of my Biggest is probably one for the ages… years ago We as friends wanted to do something that was family friendly and man did we do that.! We raised a whole generation of children on one event and they will always remeber that forever. I’m proud to call you “Friend” “brother” “cousin”… I LOVE YOU AND WILL MISS OUR TIME TOGETHER.

This was a beautiful going home service for Carl. By chance I talked with him recently by phone. He was at work at the time. Just in our short conversation, all the wonderful things that was said about him in the service today just confirms what I felt during my conversation with him. I wish I could have gotten to know him as I know some of my other nieces and nephews.
