Condolence from Brittany Adkisson on January 31st, 2021 10:05 am

Ugh….. were do I start. Carmen was more then my big cousin Carmen was my sister/ cousin, our family is so big and wide spread but when we found each other again we were calling each other everyday. When I lived in FL, to Iowa and back to IL we stayed in contact. Even argued like sisters lol but we put aside our differences and knew nothing could change the blood that was running threw us. When we talked we talk for hours about the kids, about life, making trips together just everything under the sun. It’s hard saying goodbye to my sister so I’ll just say see you later boo. Say hey to all the family up there in heaven. Love you cousin. Love you deedee

Condolence from DeLorna Elizabeth, on February 1st, 2021 3:57 am

Dearest Families,

On behalf of myself Carmen’s Auntie DeLorna and cousin, Kenneth Toler II we were and are very sadden to learn of Carmen’s sudden passing. Sympathies to her children, her mother Deirdra(sorry if misspelled), my brother Chuckie, her father, Grand parents, all of her siblings, cousins, Aunts, Uncles, and the numerous amount of family members known and unknown. God Bless Us all!

I will always be reminded of Carmen’s smile and teaching flair for the improvement of how to wear make-up. She was excellent with applying it and probably could do it with one eye shut, maybe both. I remember her excitement when she was 1st hired as a make-up artist either at Sephora or Macy’s, I can’t recall which one at this time. Look at her sweet pictures, she was a professional with matching her skin tone color so perfectly I always thought and would comment about, her dewy ivory complexion and the make-up aspect of it all even when she was an amature. Practice makes perfect she would tell me and she was correct, look at her beautiful self she had gotten better with trying. Carmen was caring, beautiful and a great mother to her children here on earth as I feel sure that her presence in their life will be everlasting, still. She will now be joined with her dear unborn son who was taken from her due to a horrific MVA, such tragedy.

I remember our talks. I am somewhat disappointed with myself and my lacking efforts that were not shown more greater, and now, there are no more “next times.” Because of missed time, I didn’t get to enjoy the Make-up 101 classes either that we had laughed about in the past, pressing harder is easy; Carmen, please forgive your Aunt DeLorna.

When I close my eyes and reminisce, I can feel your newborn vulnerability in my arms from whence I had 1st held you. You smiled often because you were trusting me this I will always believe. But then we had also had our pause and it beez that way in life too, however, you returned to me, Thank you. Carmen Lynn relax and rest dear woman, you’re safe, out of pain and worry free. Your children will be cared for here on Earth. God got them baby…

Eternal Good nights until we meet again,
Carmen Lynn, Thanks for being my niece Love you always…

Auntie DeLorna Elizabeth and Son, cousin Kenny T. xox
