Carol E (Grace)Turns, age 64. Sunrise March 23, 1957 and Sunset May 16, 2021.
Carol Elaine Turns was born March 23, 1957 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Augusta and Elam Grace. She was proceeded in death by her late brother Charles McFarland and sister Joyce Marie Lee.
She departed this life on May 16, 2021.
She professed a belief in Christ at an early age. Carol worked in the nursing and banking industries. She enjoyed helping people and often spoke of
establishing the “Widows Window” to assist folks in their time of grief. She loved listening to music.
Etta James was one of her favorite artists.
Carol leaves to mourn her daughter Dama Grace Newby and husband Clive Newby, son Corey Turns, siblings Vernell Guy Norris, Gwendolyn Grace and Kenneth Grace Sr. and wife Roshanda, grandson Mikal Lawrence, and host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Private Visitation 1:00 PM and Private Memorial Service 2:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave. Mask, Social Distancing and Tickets are required.

Carol had a kind heart. Her laugh enlightened the room when she laughed. We went to classes at a city encouragement facility for women unemployed. She was fun and enthusiastic. Always liked to have a Good time. She loved her family and did a great job taking care of Corey. She will be missed greatly.
