Carolyn Ann (Sanders) Williams, passed away on Thursday May 13, 2021. She was born to parents, Marshall and Wilma (Hosey) Sanders Sr. on March 8, 1955, in Laurel, Mississippi.

 

She graduated from Mifflin High School, Columbus, OH, in 1974 and went on to attend Columbus State Community College (formerly known as Columbus Technical Institute) and Mount Carmel College of Nursing.

 

She worked as a Medical Assistant and Pharmacy Technician at Mount Carmel Medical Center for over fifteen years before moving on to continue working at The Ohio State Ross Heart Hospital in 1997, retiring after twenty-two years of service.

 

Carolyn was a 60-year member of Triedstone Baptist Church, Overseer and Pastor, Dale D. Tucker and Bishop Jerome H. Ross. She attended church and Sunday School and served in many areas of the church, including the Nurses Ministry, The Hattie Jackson Guild, The Ross Crusaders Choir, Children’s Usher Board and The Sunshine Band. She loved her church, with her favorite scriptures are Job13:15 and Psalms 23.

 

Carolyn was a craft artist, specializing in basket weaving and making and collecting dolls.  She loved to travel often, watch television programs such as Soap Opera Network, Lifetime and Judge Shows.

 

Preceded in death by parents, Marshall and Wilma Sanders, Sr; beloved husband, Lloyd Williams; daughter, Traci Williams; brothers; John and Charles Sanders and sister; Rose Sanders.

 

Carolyn leaves to mourn and cherish her life: stepchildren, Lamar (Vanessa) Williams, Tonette (Calis) Kennedy, Rodger (Lisa) Williams, Tonette (James) Logwood, Denise (Warren) Love, Devonna (David) Evans and Katrinneal (Dominic) Howard, grandchildren Tynikia (Destel) Brice, Tyronte’ and Tyanna Hill: great granddaughter: Des’Marie Brice (Tootsie-Pop); siblings: James, Robert (Faye) Marshall (Debbie) Sanders Jr., James (Ruby) and Jerry (Tawana) Tatum and Shirley Langhorne; a host of in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, and a great number of friends.
