Mother Carrie Johnson Age 91 of Columbus, Ohio was born February 26, 1928 in Majestic, AL. She went home to be with the Lord in the presence of her loving family on September 22, 2019.
She was a faithful member of Higher Ground AAA and worked for Drs. hospital North and retired as a health care professional after 30 years of service.
Mother Johnson was a member of the pastor’s aide organization for over 25 years and a mother of the church.
She was the matriarch of our family. She lived a simple lifestyle but left a positive lasting influence on everyone in her family.
She loved going to church, being around her grandchildren, and listening to music.
She is preceded in death by Parents Fred McCaskel, and Carrie Cook, brothers Fred McCaskel, Jerry McCaskel, and R.V. Broadnax.
She leaves to cherish her memories; siblings Madye Price, Thelma McCaskel, Costella McCaskel, and Betsy McCaskel, children Dorothy Kelley-Hadden, Lorenzo Johnson, Ava Brown, Tyrone Johnson, and 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, and also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
Visitation 11:00 AM and Funeral Service 12:00 PM Friday, September 27, 2019 at Higher Ground Always Abounding Assemblies 870 St. Clair Ave.
Interment at Glen Rest.
