CroomesCarrie

Carrie Mae Croomes, age 65. Sunrise January 29, 1954 in Camille, GA., and Sunset July 15, 2019 in Columbus, OH.

Carrie attended Columbus Public Schools, and held several jobs in the Columbus area serving others, with the most rewarding one of taking care of her family and praising the Lord.

Longtime member of Faith Tabernacle COGIC. Carrie’s love for her family and dear friends was unconditional if she knew you she loved you. In her spare time, she enjoyed completing word search puzzles, cooking, spending time with family and praising the Lord. She loved the poem “Footprints in the Sand.” The Croomes family is so humbly grateful for the many memories that we had with Carrie with one our most found being as she ended a conversation or a visit with you she would say “love ya, see you later.” Never wanting to say good bye because she knew she would see you soon.

The unconditional love that she had and showed to all of her nieces and nephews was special and dear to her heart always letting them know that they were loved all the same, with not one being singled out.

Carrie was preceded in death by parents Hardy and Ola Croomes, sisters Massie Lee Allison, and Rosa Sunderland, brothers George, Johnny, Melvin, and Hardy Croomes.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories; daughter Mica Croomes, sister Mattie Croomes, brother Larry Croomes, sisters in law Colzie Cron, and Ernestine Croomes, grandchildren Amya, Mayson, Jaydin, Re’Jhon, and Tayron, great grandchild Alijah, dear friend and sister in Christ Ranesea Medley, special son John Brooks, and adopted daughter and care giver Bintu Bah, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation 6:00pm and Funeral 7:00pm Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Faith Tabernacle COGIC, 1783 E. 23rd Ave.
