Cassandra (Sandy) E. Brown was born April 8, 1939 to Lillian Brown in Columbus, Ohio. After years if illness she was called home on Monday, March 28, 2016.
Cassandra attended Central High School and earned her bachelor’s degree from Capital University. She worked as a social worker for the Franklin County Job & Family Services and retired after 25 years of service.
Anyone who knew Sandy knows that she was a very outspoken and had no problem with saying what was on her mind. She was a straight shooter, which is why everyone loved and respected her. She was the type of person that you could count on and if you needed her she would be right there. She enjoyed laughing and talking with friends and family, playing cards and she also liked to challenge people to a game of backgammon because nobody could beat her. Sandy also enjoyed a good party, as a matter of fact she was the LIFE of the party if she was in attendance. She enjoyed life and her spirit rests in all of our hearts. Her words of wisdom will carry on generations to come.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Lillian Brown; grandparents, Joseph and Elizabeth Brown; sister, Crystal Lynn Brown- Dorrough; and brother, Dwaine A. Bryd, Sr.
Left to cherish her memory, son, Mark Anthony (Sequana) Brown; daughter, April K. Woodard; niece, Tonya Brown; nephew, Dwaine A. Bryd, Jr.; eight grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.
Visitation 1:00pm and Funeral 2:00pm Saturday April 2, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE, 2500 Cleveland Ave.
