Charles “Sonny” Adams, 84, passed away on July 4, 2021. Charles was born on December 22, 1936 in Columbus, MS to Catherine Adams.
Sonny was known for working with his hands and being able to fix most anything.
After his mother passed Sonny moved to Mansfield to be with his family, his mothers surviving sisters, Louise Brown and Minnie May Sykes who became his legal guardian. He was preceded in death by these aunts and aunt Annie Gunn and his sisters Annie Lamb and my aunt Shirley Burtin
Charles is survived by his cousins Jeanetta Collier, Lynette Stigger, Billy Sykes, Christopher Sykes, Anthony Lamb, Marcellus Adams, Maurice Sykes, Marquis Sykes, Willie Burtin, Roderick Burtin and Mario Burtin.
Visitation 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Saturday July 10, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE MANSFIELD (formerly Williams Funeral Services) 753 McPherson St. Mask and Social Distancing are required.
