Charles Stephen King Sr.

On March 24, 1966, Heaven blessed earth, Charles and Brenda King with their baby boy, Charles Stephen King.

Steve, as he was affectionately known, attended both public and private schools, graduating from Beechcroft High School. One of his favorite classes was wood shop, where he made both a stool for his dad to use when doing work as a mechanic, and a clock for the family home.

Steve was baptized in 1982 at the Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Columbus Believer’s Church under the pastorship of Landareece Brown, where he grew in the Lord serving

faithfully.

Stephen was a veteran in the US Army, serving from 1985-1990. He resigned from The State of Ohio after working there over 2 decades. He met and worked with such a wonderful group of people, of which 1 was his mother and his 2 first cousins.

The holy union to Angela (King) Allen brought three children Charles Jr., Amber, and Angel.

Stephen was proceeded in death by his father Charles King and daughter Amber Jean-Nichole King.

Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his son, Charles Stephen King Jr. (Johntaya); daughter, Angel Christina-Decole King; grandsons, Damien and D’Angelo Fellows, Chase King, Gianni and Ky’lin McGrew-Bell; granddaughter, Char’Lee King; mother, Brenda King and sister, Rhonda King.  He also leaves to cherish his memory to a host of other close family and friends.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.
