On March 24, 1966, Heaven blessed earth, Charles and Brenda King with their baby boy, Charles Stephen King.
Steve, as he was affectionately known, attended both public and private schools, graduating from Beechcroft High School. One of his favorite classes was wood shop, where he made both a stool for his dad to use when doing work as a mechanic, and a clock for the family home.
Steve was baptized in 1982 at the Refuge Missionary Baptist Church. He later joined Columbus Believer’s Church under the pastorship of Landareece Brown, where he grew in the Lord serving
faithfully.
Stephen was a veteran in the US Army, serving from 1985-1990. He resigned from The State of Ohio after working there over 2 decades. He met and worked with such a wonderful group of people, of which 1 was his mother and his 2 first cousins.
The holy union to Angela (King) Allen brought three children Charles Jr., Amber, and Angel.
Stephen was proceeded in death by his father Charles King and daughter Amber Jean-Nichole King.
Stephen leaves to cherish his memory his son, Charles Stephen King Jr. (Johntaya); daughter, Angel Christina-Decole King; grandsons, Damien and D’Angelo Fellows, Chase King, Gianni and Ky’lin McGrew-Bell; granddaughter, Char’Lee King; mother, Brenda King and sister, Rhonda King. He also leaves to cherish his memory to a host of other close family and friends.
Visitation 10:00 AM and Private Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd.). Interment at Green Lawn Cemetery.

It is really unbelievable to know that you are gone big cousin.. I am still in shock, but to my family CJ, Angel, Rhonda, Aunt Brenda, you have my deepest condolences… To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.. I am sending you all prayers of comfort and strength during this time… Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning… I love you ❤️ all and cousin Steve will surely be missed

I am deeply saddened to hear about your loss. You have always been such a great & loving family. You know we grew up together and I even spent the night at your house. I and the rest of your family in Youngstown are certainly grieving over the loss of Stephen. He will be missed by all. You have our deepest sympathy and our prayers are with you as I pray to Jehovah God to strengthen you. He will soon alleviate mankind’s worst enemy from this earth ….. Death.

To Aunt Brenda, Rhonda, CJ and Angel, I am so deeply sorry for your loss, our family’s loss. Stephen’s gone to soon, but he will not be forgotten. He will be missed. CJ and Angel, you and your children will carry on your Dad’s legacy, so he will live on through you all! May God give us all comfort during this time of mourning, with his Grace and Mercy! God makes no mistakes, he will give us joy in the morning. RIP, my dear cousin. Love forevermore.

Those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us everyday unseen, unheard, your dad will always be near. It is very difficult to say good bye to the person we love. Your father and memory of the times you spent together will always be in your heart. Your dad is resting peaceful with our Lord. My deepest condolences, and I will be here if you need me.

My heart goes out to Steve’s family at this difficult time. We became friends at the BMV. We had many laughs and good times together. He will definitely be missed by many people. Rest in peace my dear friend.
