Charlotte Childs-White

White

Our creator used Johnny Childs and Lillian Jackson Childs affectionately known as “Jackie”, as a vessel to bring Charlotte to this life.

Charlotte was well known for her many natural God given talents and secretly in love with Mickey Mouse. (SMILE)

Charlotte had an outgoing spirit, a virtuous woman of strong character, always a lady, with unfailing principle and love to her family, friends, as well as strangers. More importantly she was known for the gift of gab and her laugh was infectious. MOM LOVED TO TALK!!! (SMILE)

To be with loved ones, Charlotte received her wings Thursday, June 18, 2020. She fought a good fight; however, God won the battle!

Charlotte was preceded in death by parents, Johnny Childs, Lillian “Jackie” Woodward, Davit Jackson, Mamie Ragland, and Ernestine Ruffin-Humber, and grandmothers, Gertrude Jackson and Clara Childs.

Charlotte leaves to celebrate her life, honorable and loving husband, John White; children, Lancelot R Goldson Jr., Lachelle R. Goldson, and Moni Amandala; grandsons, Eli Patterson, Rakim Patterson, and Kobe Patterson; siblings, Christina (James) Johnson, Cecilia (John) Wilkerson, Carolyn “Tina” Childs, [brother] Kim (Toni) Childs, and Teresa Lynn Woodward; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends, and associates.

Rest on our beautiful pink rose!

Very sorry to learn your family lost Charlotte. You probably remember the many conversations we had about her health and possible ideas to get her back to her old self of just perk her up for company or an evening out. I’m sure her conditions were more complicated than I understood. That being the case, I believe all your work associates are very proud of you for the time, effort and love you gave Charlotte. It had to have been difficult everyday.

Good luck with the service Saturday. You will probably hear many interesting and funny stories. After the service, please stay active and healthy. You have many friends. Please keep in touch. Bob Slitor (rslitor1950@gmail.com).

I am so sorry for your family’s loss. I had lost touch with Charlotte over the years but I always remember the sweet and fun personality she had when we were in school. We were friends that shared those long walks home from school and we shared letters with each other. I will always remember her smiles and laughter. May you find comfort with family and friends.
