ruff

Charnesha Yvette Ruff was born August 2, 1979 at Doctors Hospital North, Columbus, Ohio at 11:34 am.

Charnesha (Chi), as she was affectionately called by family and friends, graduated from Marion Franklin High School while simultaneously earning her cosmetology license from Northwest Career Center.

Chi worked for AT&T approximately 20 years as a Maintenance Administrator. She was steadfast in her belief in the Lord and was determined to instill those same beliefs in her children. Charnesha immersed herself into raising her children and embodied all aspects of being their mother. She was loving, present and involved in all of her children’s lives. Her children were her greatest joy.

Charnesha entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2021 at 5:00 am.

She was preceded in death by her father Charles Michael Ruff and her beloved grandmother Betty Jean Weems.

Charnesha’s legacy shall be carried on by her children Qua’Aja (Kaja) Dawson, Que’yani (Kaka) Dawson, Benjamin Ruff, and Jackson Ruff; her mother Belinda Harris; her bonus dad Edward Harris; her sister Virginita (Nita) Ruff; her nephew Tavonte (Tae) Burney; her childhood best friend Lashonta Davidson; and her special friend Michael Brown. She also leaves behind a host of cousins and extended family.

Charnesha may have been short in stature; but she was indestructible in heart. She loved with everything she had. Chi, you will be missed tremendously. We will carry your memory in our hearts FOREVER…!!
