A Daughter, A Sister, An Aunt, A Cousin, A Family member, A Friend. No matter what she meant to you, you never had to question her love. No matter what she gave, you know it came from her heart. No matter what you were doing, she made sure to be present and enjoy the moment.

A Daughter, A Sister, An Aunt, A Cousin, A Family member, A Friend. No matter what she meant to you, you never had to question her love. No matter what she gave, you know it came from her heart. No matter what you were doing, she made sure to be present and enjoy the moment.

Cheryl Lynne Brown entered this life June 17, 1964 in Columbus, Ohio to the union of Evans and Georgia Mae (Bolton) Brown.

Cheryl, age 56, went home to be with the Lord on Friday January 29, 2021 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital. Cheryl attended Brookhaven HS and obtained her Associates Degree in Dietetic Technician from Columbus Technical Institute.

She was a very devoted member of Columbus Christian Center, under the leadership of Dr. David C. Forbes, Jr., where she became active in various ministries. She served as a Church Greeter, and also served in Gods Hand Ministry, which distributes food to the community every 3rd Saturday of the month; all because she had a Christians heart for serving others. Some of the passions she had was investigating Genealogy; family was very important to her. She also enjoyed spending time learning about the history of the Underground Railroad. Working with Food Pantries and Senior Citizens helped her with the beautiful, unique, spirit of giving to others, even when she was never asked. She was a true example of a Christian/Disciple we should all strive to be. She also had a strong passion for baking and shopping.

Cheryl worked for almost 26 years for the Ohio Department of Health with her most recent Job Title being Customer Service Assistant 1.

Cheryl was preceded in death by her grandparents: Joe Lewis, Tillie Mae Bolton, and Harvey and Eura Dee Brown.

She leaves to cherish her parents Evans and Georgia Mae (Bolton) Brown. She also leaves a big brother Lawrence (Denise) Brown, he was the one that had the privilege of naming her. She also leaves a niece, Jontunika (Derrick) Bailey and a nephew, Lawrence Brown II. She always felt as if she was their 2nd mother, and she was also very proud and supportive of all their accomplishments. She also leaves a grandmother, Lillian Lewis. There was a very special close friend she leaves to cherish Minister Linda Taylor. She also has a host of Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that she will also leave.

PUBLIC Walkthrough Visitation 9:00 AM – 10:30 AM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Columbus Christian Center 2300 N. Cassidy Ave 43219.

Cheryl and I worked together several years at ODH. Cheryl was a very special lady. She was a friendly and helpful person, a servant to the Lord and tried to be sensitive to the needs of others. She definitely loved her family. We shared several interests including spiritual matters, genealogy and of course work at ODH. We shared a lot of laughs at times and enjoyed dining together on occasion outside of the work place. Cheryl’s helpful and sweet spirit will be missed. I send my sincere condolences to her family.
