Christine Ann Simons, 58 years old, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 after an over 30 year battle with Multiple Sclerosis and an even larger battle with COVID-19.

Christine, affectionately called Chrissy or Chris by her family, was born October 15th, 1961 in Columbus, Ohio to her parents David and Martha Rammell. Chris graduated from both Eastland Vocational School, with a medical specialization, and Groveport Madison High School in 1979. She was a proud guard at the Ohio Reformatory for Women in Marysville, Ohio, until having to retire early due to her struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. Earlier in life she worked at the Lincoln Lodge on West Broad Street, Mercy Hospital and Metro Armored Car. Chris had an infectious laugh and the most beautiful color changing (gray/blue/green eyes). Chris loved all genres of music from hip hop to jazz but her favorite was country music and at times you’d find her singing karaoke with her family. Chris has always said that her greatest achievement in life was her daughter Lorraine.

Chris was preceded in death by Former-husband Ralph Simons JR., Brothers Brian Rammell, Leslie Finkes and Robert Finkes; Sister Christine Marshall and Parents Venita and David Rammell. She is survived by her parents Gary and Martha Webb of Punta Gorda, Florida. Daughter, Lorraine (Demond Deal) Arnold and Bonus-daughters (as Chris always shared steps where what you walked up and down NOT what you called your family) Melody (Martai) Edwards of Columbus & Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Monica (Israel) Alaniz of Chicago, Illinois; Grandchildren, Anthony Arnold, Demond Deal Jr., Daejah, Destiny, DesiRaye, And Salance Blakely Jr. all of Columbus & Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Khyren Carter and Morgan Alaniz of Chicago, Illinois; Sisters Marylee (Paul) Taylor of Vancouver, Washington and Tina Buchanan and Jeralea (Rance) Havice both of Columbus, Ohio and Brother Scott (Diane) Bucy of Hilliard, Ohio.

She will be greatly missed by a large extended family and numerous friends.

1:00pm Visitation and 2:00pm Memorial Service Saturday June 13, 2020 at Marlan Gary Funeral Home, The Chapel of Peace East, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.
