Claibourne Willis Whaley was born to Brenda Whaley and James Strong Jr.

Claibourne finished high school and began to take up many different jobs in the labor industry. He loved to play basketball, play cards, and he also loved to go shopping, as well as being a great role model for his daughter.

Claibourne will truly be missed by us all.

Claibourne is preceded in death by his father, James Strong, Jr.; brother, Kyle Ramsey; uncle, Delmar Felton; aunts, Avis Whaley, and Wanda Bryant; and grandparents, Willis Whaley, Jr., and Betty Felton.

Claibourne is survived by his mother, Brenda Whaley; fiancé, Rhoneeca Cox; daughter, Raniyah Whaley; brother, Delmar Whaley; sisters, Princess Whaley, Tamika Ramsey, and Montoya Jenkins; uncle, Robert Harshaw; aunts, Vanessa (Charles) Scales, and Renelle Felton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Public Walkthrough Viewing 1:00pm followed by a Private Visitation at 2:00 PM and Private Funeral 3:00 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.
