Claibourne Willis Whaley was born to Brenda Whaley and James Strong Jr.
Claibourne finished high school and began to take up many different jobs in the labor industry. He loved to play basketball, play cards, and he also loved to go shopping, as well as being a great role model for his daughter.
Claibourne will truly be missed by us all.
Claibourne is preceded in death by his father, James Strong, Jr.; brother, Kyle Ramsey; uncle, Delmar Felton; aunts, Avis Whaley, and Wanda Bryant; and grandparents, Willis Whaley, Jr., and Betty Felton.
Claibourne is survived by his mother, Brenda Whaley; fiancé, Rhoneeca Cox; daughter, Raniyah Whaley; brother, Delmar Whaley; sisters, Princess Whaley, Tamika Ramsey, and Montoya Jenkins; uncle, Robert Harshaw; aunts, Vanessa (Charles) Scales, and Renelle Felton; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Public Walkthrough Viewing 1:00pm followed by a Private Visitation at 2:00 PM and Private Funeral 3:00 PM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH 2500 Cleveland Ave.

You were like a big brother to me an are friendship was starting to grow more an more u will never be forgotten by me an im never gone to forget the one on one talks an laughs we shared at the table when we get together u was a real an outspoken man just seems like u out of town some were or at home chillin with your daughter that u love to talk about see u when i get to heaven some day❤
Rest in peace Clay! I will make it a point to be a positive influence in the life of your daughter as she grows and take her journey through this life that we have! I know she loves you very much and looked up to you and I will make sure that she continues to know that you love her.
