Clarence was a loving father figure to so many, always smiling, and always offering a kind word. On May 5, 2018 Clarence Thomas Sr. slipped away peacefully surrounded by family and friends to be with the Lord and to receive the highest reward of eternal rest.

Clarence Thomas, 52 years old, was born November 25, 1965 to the late Cirilo Adolfe Thomas Jr., and Margaret Paige Thomas (Romain) of St. Thomas the US Virgin Island.

Clarence moved to New York in his 20’s where he met and fell in love with his wife, Susan Lyman-Gantt. They shortly married and had a son, Clarence T. Thomas Jr.

Clarence was employed by Standard Prototyping Ideals LTD, in Pickerington, Ohio for more than 10 years. He served as their longest working employee where he was the supervisor, Lead Forman. He was loved dearly by his co-workers and management. Clarence enjoyed all sports; he became Ohio State Buckeyes’ and Cleveland Cavaliers biggest fan!

Clarence took pleasure in spending time with his family at gatherings. He was best known for keeping the peace with a joke to lighten the mood. He loved so many and was loved by so many more.

Clarence is preceded in death by loving parents, Cirilo Thomas Jr., and Margaret Romain; father in law, Richard W. Lyman Jr.; and sister, Llma Thomas.

Clarence leaves to cherish his memory with loving wife and best friend of 30 years, Susan A. Thomas; son, Clarence Thomas Jr.; surrogate sons, Kayshawn Cresso, and Darkell Curry; sisters, Donica Weston, Herlene David, and Julice Thomas; brothers, Elvis Thomas, Eustace Paige, Leon Thomas, and Kelvin Thomas; mother in law, Sadie Gantt (Nelson); brother in law, Richard Lyman III; sisters in law, Sherry (Randy) Diggs, Sadie Mahmood, Sandra (Steve) Robinson, Evelyn (Jim) McCracken, and Katrina (Tish) Curry, also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.

Visitation 10:00am and Funeral 11:00am Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.

(John 11:11) Jesus knew that death is a deep sleep state in which the dead are waiting for the promised resurrection. (Acts 24:15) May you have faith in God’s promise that Clarence will live again!
