The cares of life, at times, sneaks up on us. But always remember to cast your burdens upon the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). He will comfort and strengthen you while you are on this journey, for His love, mercy, and grace endures forever. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

  11. To The Rhodes Family:
May The Lord grant you His Perfect Perfect Peace now and in the coming days ahead.

    David,
You would always stop by whenever you were out this way just to check on me and the family. Five minutes into your visit we would be debating about any and everything. Eventually, that would lead to us having a good laugh. That was our way since elementary. I’m going to miss you my friend. Rest in peace,
    SG

    To The Rhodes Family:
You have my families heart felt condolences during this time of loss. May your memories of David comfort you and keep his spirit alive within each and everyone of you.

    David,
You have been a friend of our family for a very long time and to hear of your passing came as a great shock. I never would have imagined you leaving this earth so soon. As everyone else I expected to see you out and have one of those friendly debates that you were known for. Or seeing you out at some basketball game helping out. No matter what, I never expected to be writing this about you at this age. David you just like my mother (Wilda Briggs), just left this earth with no type of warning. May you rest in peace and please lookout for my mother in Heaven.

David Rhodes, the fondest great memories were back some 30 years ago when David and I were talking about Jazz Music when I told him and Sara Beth that I was looking for some music by Jazz Musician Guitarist Earl Klugh’s “Lowride” CD.
I struggled trying to find this 1983-85 LP. Sara Beth told David that I couldn’t find the music, David said to me that he would locate the music on Livingston and that he did for me. Everytime I play the Earl Klugh song track Lowride CD it reminds me of Brother David Rhodes. Thank you Brother David for going out of your way to find the vintage music cassette.
And thank you for the vintage awesome conversations you ask me about vintage legendary bodybuilding at the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Bodybuilding Championship in Columbus Ohio. All my sincere condolences, prayers, and sympathy to Sara Beth, Briana, Sariah, Grandchildren, and the Rhodes Family. RIP Brother David Rhodes.❤️❤️❤️

David was more than a coaching cohort. David was a tremendous friend. He gave so much of himself not only to the Africentric Lady Nubians, he also gave encouragement to young people throughout the city of Columbus. If any program needed support David was there. I will miss our three way conversations we would have when he wanted to prove a point. He was definitely one of a kind and I will miss him dearly. My condolences to out to his family which he love so much. Thank you for sharing David Rhodes with the Columbus community.
