CasimireCorneluis

On September 23, 1990, through the union of Jacqueline Casimire and Trevor Casimire, the world was introduced to an 8lb 14oz, 22-inch baby King named C. Ray Casimire. Straight out of the gate Ray-Ray was a force to be reckoned with. He started playing the conservative sport of baseball, but his big personality proved to be too much for the sport. In 1994, he found a love for football on the Linden Eagles. This is where Cash was born. Through the development of the coaches and staff he then moved on to play for the Daystars–he was a daystar for life. He finished off his little league years with the Saints and a little league championship. The next year he took his talent to the Bearcats.

Not only was he into football, but Ray/Cash took an interest in acting. He participated in the Buckeye Film Festival, in a major production of Peter Pan, and a small production produced by Charlay Neff. Ray also was a skater and dancer and often snuck into the adult skate nights to show off his talents.

At 15 Cash obtained a job with the Columbus Parks and Recreation as a lifeguard. Throughout the 10 years, Cash worked at Windsor, Maryland, Tuttle, Dodge and Lincoln Park. He served as a swim lesson instructor, dive team coach, mentor, and the rest-period entertainment through his dives and backflips. He was also known for throwing late-night pool parties without permission.

Three things that Ray/Cash inherited include his love for guns, cars, and family. He was a gentle giant with a huge heart who loved to have fun. He showed up at every party with a huge smile, cases of pop and cousin Brad in tow. His love for his fiancé, Brittney Williams, son, Carter Ray, and daughter, Aviana Renae, was unmatched.

For the last two years, Ray/Cash had become adventurous. It started with him traveling to Zanesville to visit his Neff family, riding four wheelers, and tubing on the lake. He made a cross- country drive with his cousin Mike to California, a quick trip to Tennessee with one of of his best friends, Tee, and most recently he returned from his first plane ride to Las Vegas with his cousin, Rod.

Ray/Cash was raised by a trio of mothers and his sissy, who helped him to navigate this big world. He also had a TT, a GiGi, Gena Jeter, and favorite cousins. Throughout life he picked a few jewels that he considered his day one homies/bros: Nardi, DC Reuben, Anzel, Slim, Tee, Drick, Jamar, Big Shawn, Zeek, Raymond and Chaz.

Grandma Felicia and Barbara, Paw Paw Bill and Vernon, and Aunt Bee Bee, look out, because here comes the party. Uncle Dean, Aunt Trena, Aunt Shelvie, Uncle Book and Uncle Boo Boo, please clear the aisle so he can reach his daddy, Trevor Casimire. Terra, Teqwan, DC, and Nardi get ready, it’s turn up time.

Your mother, Jacqueline Casimire, sister, Danielle (Jerome) Mungin, Catrice Casimire, Joe, and Terrell will hold the party down while you’re gone. We promise to hold Brittney Williams down while raising your beautiful kids, Carter and Avianna. Your nieces BriLynn and Jatia, and Nephews Jerome and Jailynn, will keep your memory alive.

Public Visitation 1-2:00pm Saturday, October 3, 2020 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Condolence from Keelena Savage Jack & Family on October 2nd, 2020 10:04 am

Aunt Jackie & Family,

There are no words or amount of time that can or will help ease the loss of Ray. Hopefully, as time passes and you reflect on such a tragic time, you find some strength, happiness, and peace knowing that Ray has found his ultimate peace while resting in paradise.

Ray, my baby cousin… I could not understand what Danielle wrote me and I wanted to think I interpreted the message wrong. I hate to see you leave this realm so soon… I remember growing up with you and sharing your bike as a child. You were like the little brother I never had while I lived with you and Danielle. I will always cherish our childhood memories. I hope you have transcended to serve a greater purpose while still serving your purpose here…Rest In Paradise Ray.

Love Your Cuz,
Keelena

Kim, me, and our family give our deepest, sincerest condolences and respect to Cash and his family. He was one of a kind. Cash was one of the good ones. It truely is wrong how he was taken from your family and friends. He was a great neighbor. We will never forget you or that tragic moment that took place that lead you to your final peaceful rest. If his kids ever need another bike or work done to them I would greatly do it for free out of respect for him.

We love you, Cash!!

Your neighborhood friends,
C.J., Kim, and Family.
