Cory D. Erskine, Sr was born to Leonard S. Erskine, Sr and Marilyn D. Erskine in Providence, Rhode Island on January 6th, 1967. He departed this life at the age of 55 on September 3rd, 2022, after an unexpected anoxic brain injury.

Cory attended Mifflin high school but graduated from Beechcroft High School after the Erskine family moved from Somerset to Brittany Hills. He then received his professional training and HVAC Licensure from the Southeast Career Center. He was also certified as an electrician and mason where he did industrial maintenance for several companies including, McDonnell Douglas, Diebold, and Qual Fab. He was currently self-employed with a complex and versatile skillset. If something was broken, Cory surely could fix it.

He grew up as a faithful member of Advent United Church of Christ where he was baptized by the late Reverend Samuel Varner and was also a member of the Teen Fellowship. Growing up Cory was an accomplished athlete who was on the Maryland swim and diving team where he won numerous medals and awards. He also played football and was an amazing baseball player with a deadly change up and curve ball.

Cory is preceded in death by his parents; Leonard, Sr. and Marilyn Erskine. Cory will be deeply missed by Linda Choina and their three children; Aaron, Paris, and Cory, Jr. (Alex) of Columbus, Ohio, brothers; Leonard “Kipper” (Liz) Erskine of Avon, Ohio and Sawney (Tiffany) Erskine of Denver, Colorado, beloved grandchildren; Javion, Khloe, Ava, Paisley, Kennedy, and Roman, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Memorial Service 11:00 AM Monday, September 19, 2022 at Christian Valley Baptist Church , 3330 Scottwood Rd.. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. Man this is unreal Cory was a genuine solid good dude and can fix and repair anything I definitely learned alot from him spiritually he is truly missed everyday
