Craig Demetrius “Inchworm” Harper Sr., born in Atlanta, GA on November 19, 1962 transitioned from this life on August 4, 2022. He is preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Ann Harper; his father, Harvey Lee Harper Sr.; his sister, Alfreda Renee McGhee; his brother, Harvey Lee Harper Jr.; his son, Craig “Wimpy” Banks; his grandson, Jeremiah T’Shaun Harper.

Craig was a member of Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church located in Columbus, Ohio where he assisted with the audio department under Bishop Walter Jones. In his earlier years, he served as a member of the United States Army and was a true Ohio State Buckeye fan. He was the best spades and domino player and he was very confident in his craft. He enjoyed riding his bicycle, exercising, watching all sports, cooking, and being with family.

Craig is survived by his sons, Antwonne Simon Sr., Brandon McDougald (Britini), Keonte Ross, Craig Harper III, and Sir Timothy Harper; his daughters, Latasha Demetria Toone (Cecil), Latissa Harper, Lanisha Simmons (Brandon), Krystal Wallace and Shamell Hutchins; granddaughters, Serenity Amir, Eleciya Tillman, Madison Myles, Alani McDougald, Emery Simmons; grandsons, Braylon McDougald, Brandon McDougald Jr., Jawonne, Jayvion, Antwonne Jr. and John; great granddaughter, Harmony Griffith; best friend Darnell Hayes of Columbus, Ohio and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pops, Inch, or Uncle Craig will be remembered for his humor, encouraging words, and contagious smile. Though his road was rough, he stayed grounded in his faith and loved God, his children, and grandchildren tremendously. You deserve your wings and now your soul is at peace and you can rest. Until we meet again. We love you Craig.

Visitation 1:00pm  and Funeral 2:00pm Friday, August 12, 2022 at Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Church, 1725 E. Main St.

Interment at Evergreen Burial Park.
