Cyril Kirkland age 61 earned his wings after a long courageous battle with cancer on November 13, 2016 at McNaughten Pointe. He was a graduate of East High School class of 1974. He was a solider in the Salvation Army East Maine Corps. Cyril was employed by the city of Atlanta and worked in the construction field.
Cyril is preceded in death by his mother Beatty Ann Kirkland father Joseph B. Kirkland his brother Leon Ellis from Atlanta and Bernie Mack Hinesman from Atlanta.
Cyril is survived by his sons Reshawn Humphrey and Marcus Edwards, 2 grandchildren Izayah, and Kaniyah all of Columbus, brothers Joseph (Renita) Kirkland, Demetruis (Robin) Kirkland from Atlanta and Derrick J. Kirkland of Columbus, Ohio. Nieces; Dr. Shalonda Kirkland- Bradford, Sharieka Kirkland, Nakia and NaKeisha Ellis all from Atlanta, Kondi (Brent) Carroll, Kami Kirkland, LaKeisha Edwards all from Columbus, Nephew Derrick J. Harmon from Chicago. Great nieces; Akira and Akia Lacey and Ari Carroll of Columbus, great nephew. Austin Bradford from Atlanta and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many great friends.

I am sorry for your lost. May you find comfort in God’s word the Bible. At Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say : “I am sick.” It was not our God ‘s purpose for us to get sick or die. He has made loving provisions to remove suffering and death from us forever. Our love ones will live on earth again. Read John 6:40;2 Peter 3:13.
