Daeshawn Lamar Simington was born May 17, 1997, in Columbus, Ohio to Michele Collins and Shawn Simington. Although our hearts were not ready for Daeshawn’s untimely departure, his imprint and legacy will live in our hearts forever.

Daeshawn graduated in 2015 from Groveport Madison High school. He started his career in Carpentry right out of High school. Our beloved (Pooder) had an infectious smile and a mild stutter, Pooder could light up the room with his smile and playful ways no matter the situation. He had a love for fishing, cooking, clowning and charming the ladies. DaeShawn personality was, “I’m about to” he was just that kind of Man. DaeShawn loved his daughters, and his #1 goal was to work hard for his family. He was an amazing Dad.

DaeShawn was a loving son, father, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and devoted friend who will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

DaeShawn preceded in death by his Great Grandma Elzena Collins, Grandma Shirley Simington, Great Aunt Portia Collins, and Uncle Michael Lewis, Jr.

He leaves to cherish his sweet memory: His loving Mother Michele Collins, Special Mother Tracey (James) Shallow; Father Shawn Simington, His Daughters Jordyn and Ny’lah Simington; His Sisters, Tanai Davis, LaShawna (Ronald) Kelley, LaSha Alston; His Brothers, Kenneth (Janae) Jones, Erin Weatherly, Special Brothers Kevin Hopewell and Demario White; God-mom Sheneal Cunningham; His Grandparents, Sandy Collins, Michael (Veda) Lewis; His Aunts Linda and Tina Collins, Marissa Lewis, Latwana Lewis, Aleta Simington and LaTonya Simington; His Uncles, Albert Lewis, Amiel Collins, Tyran Simington, Carlos Simington; Special Great-Cousin Michelle Priester and A Very Special person in his life Keirston Gore. A Host of cousins, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation 10:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 19, 2022 at Christian Valley Baptist Church , 3330 Scottwood Rd.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.
