Dai’Juan Lee Oshea Coates Sr. Also known as “Wizzle” was born August 22nd 1994 to La’Sharrah Yvonne Coates – Jones and Elisha June Earnest, Jr.

Dai’Juan had a very happy childhood and was very spoiled by his grandparents (Tina and Jesse)… great-grandparents at that. Though having him a bit young mom went on to graduate early and start college while still being a great mom.

Dai’Juan attended East High School. Throughout his teen years, he was growing into a young man and in 2008 he then met Takeeta “Keddah” Thomas, who soon became Mrs. Takeeta Coates with two children they share, Sacred and D.J.

Dai’Juan began working several jobs to support his wife and children. He was currently working for ODOT along with some of his favorite cousins and friends. When he wasn’t at work, he was with his family smiling, laughing, enjoying life.

Dai’Juan was a beautiful soul and was definitely loved and favored by many.

Dai’Juan departed this life December 31st 2017.He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Kim Renee Coates; great-grandmother, Gertie Rose Earnest; great-grandfathers, Jesse Benjamin McKinley and Elisha June Earnest Sr.; great aunt, Terry Bregette Coates; and great uncle, Edward Earl Coates.

Dai’Juan leaves to cherish his memories to wife, Takeeta Shanēy Coates; mother, La’Sharrah (Clarence) Jones; father, Elisha Earnest, Jr; grandmother, Patricia Earnest; grandfather, Glen (Tonya) Keaton; great grandparents, Ernestine Coates and Elisha Ernest II; daughter, Sacred Mahogany Latia Coates; son, Dai’Juan Lee Oshea Coates Jr.; brothers, Semaj Thompson, ShiYone Jones, Elisha’Juan Earnest, Tae’Vion Coates, Ta’Laun Jackson, Tarek Coates, Michaēl Earnest, ShiRes Jones, Malik Earnest, ShiMetrious Jones, Kyon Jordan, and Jaden Earnest; sisters, Cynthia Caldwell, Elasjiah Coates, Layla Earnest, Amyah Coates, Mekinzie Earnest and Kelsey Earnest; aunts, Tanika Coates, Latonya (Christopher) Wagner, Shonda (Lindell) Hoskins, Virginia Earnest, Alisa Coates – Scott, Sonia Coates and Pam Earnest; uncles, Erick Weekley, Ronnie Earnest and Fred Adkins; special cousins, Chyna Coats, Anthony Anderson, Da’Von Coates, De’Quan Coates, Jovan Coates, Antonio Coates, Patrick Ellison and Kailan Ellison; special friends, Wykelli Barlow, Tony Johnson and Allen Dowe, who too departed alongside Dai’Juan; and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.

 

Visitation 12:00pm and Funeral 1:00pm, Friday January 12, 2018 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE NORTH, 2500 Cleveland Ave.

Interment at Glen Rest Memorial Estates.

I’m so sorry for your lost.We will continue to keep praying for your strength in GOD’S healing as HE is healing our family as well. As I told my daughter; GOD MAKES NO MISTAKE.
