Condolence from Nakia Johnson & Family (Vez, Baji , Dk, X , Kima) on May 2nd, 2017 7:43 pm

I will always remember the 10 piece suits Darryl wore. He always was in the top 5 dressed if not the best when he stepped in the room. The trash he talked to make you laugh and smile. I will never forget how he looked out for my Son when he was @ Eastmoor coaching. Making sure he stayed strong and was utilized through him. Darryl was family to us. What I admired about him was his sense of humor, character, and that he always stood up for what was right and spoke his mind. You will be missed dearly Cuz. RIP Coach!!! We Love you. Deepest Sympathy goes out to the family xoxoxoxoxox

RIP, my friend. You remain a mentor and inspiration to everyone you touched. As a coach you guided young people not just on the court or on the field but through life. I’ll always remember Candi’s Dream Team and the wonderful experience those kids enjoyed playing ball and having fun while playing. You played to win but you also played to build their confidence, to let them know there is no shame in losing as long as you gave your all and to hold their heads high.
