Darshawn Antonio Perry Sr., affectionately known as “Moosie”, passed away unexpectedly on November 3, 2021, at the age of 39.  This Strong, Fearless, and Courageous young man was born July 29, 1982, to Henry Marshall Favors & Dorene Perry. Moosie graduated from South High School and received multiple newspaper write-ups recognizing him as an All-American Football player earning multiple trophies and honors.  During his high school years, he met the love of his life and later began their family.   Moosie cherished the time he spent with his family while telling embellished stories of his high school years to his children and new best friends TyShawn & DarShawn III. Moosie loved going to little league football games while coaching from the side lines and kicked off the field.  Moosie enjoyed feeding and helping the less fortune.  He will truly be missed. Proceeded in death by Father Henry Marshall Favors and Mother Dorene Perry.  Grandparents Henry & Nettie Favors; Anthony Perry Sr. & Shirley Harriston. Darshawn is leaving to treasure his memory, Wife Wilma Booker, Sons Darshawn Jr., Markel, & Markeis; Daughter Danaijah, & Bonus Daughter Wilhelmina; Brothers, Reginald, Jajuan & Marquise Perry; Grandsons, TyShawn Hill, Darshawn Perry III, niece Ishauntia, nephews, Reginald Jr., Jajuan Jr. and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Visitation 9:00 AM and Funeral Service 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, 858 E. 3rd Ave. MASKS ARE MANDATORY. Interment at Evergreen Burial Park. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave.

Family, you have my deepest prayers and condolences.
My heart still hurts since hearing about the passing of Moosie who I felt close to since he was a teenager.
I never had a problem with him coming over to the house with my son because he was very respectful and he always had a since of humor. Moosie gave my daughter the name Popcorn, and she been poppin every since then. My children are hurting right now. Moosie was a Legend in his own right.
