Daryl DeShawn Reed A.K.A. “Rudy”, was born October 14, 1974 at St. Ann’s hospital in Columbus Ohio, to Emmitt & Linda Reed. He was the youngest son from this union. On October 23, 2021, the final chapter of his life came to a sudden, peaceful closure.

Daryl was a very family-oriented man, a loving son, father, grandfather, brother, cousin & friend. He was a kind, giving person. Even at the time of his death he was still giving. Daryl was an organ donor. He was able to give four people a better & healthier chance at life. He enjoyed making people smile & laugh. Daryl’s smile was big, bright, and contagious.

Daryl attended Eastmoor Middle & Eastmoor High School. After high school, Ms. Karen gave Daryl his first job in home health care. Daryle then attended a Heating & Cooling trade school. He then pursued a career in construction and security.

Daryl is preceded in death by his father Emmitt Reed, grandparents Fred & Mary Williams, Aunt Florine, Uncle Timmy & Uncle Lindsy Reed.

Daryl will leave memories to be cherished by his loving mother Linda (Larry) Williams-Lawson, brother Timothy (Mary) Reed, children: sons Daryl DeShawn Reed Jr., Dai’Quwan Reed, & DeVonte Reed, daughters: Kara Williams & Syndee Reed, 4 grandkids; Daryl, Daniel, Lamar & DeShawn Reed. Special cousin-brother Donte’ Gardner, Aunt Elizebeth Black (Sue Girl), Uncle Tony (Mary)Williams, Bonus Mom Marsha Brown, along with many loving relatives & friends.

 

 

 

 

 

Private Visitation 3:00pm followed by Private  Funeral 4:00pm Saturday, November 06, 2021 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. (one block east of Noe Bixby, turn North on Lonsdale Rd). MASK ARE REQUIRED!!!!!

    Our heart goes out to you all. Linda and Tim, and Daryl’s children I was shocked and sadden to hear about the sudden passing of Daryl.
    He had the brightest smile that would lighten up every room and a laugh that is truly contagious.

    Ms.Linda and Tim I literally just found out about Rudy. I am so sorry I do not have any words for this loss of such a great and happy man. This is hurting so bad I can’t imagine how you feel if I feel like this. Please tell me where he is so I can go talk to him. Please
