David Eugene Neal was born August 25, 1957 in Columbus, Ohio to Fred and Thelma (Maines) Neal. He was the younger brother of Fred Lamar Neal. He attended St. Emma Military Academy, located in Virginia, in the ninth grade, 1972; and he graduated from East High School in 1975.
On June 19, 1999, he married Deborah (Whitaker) Neal. Together they raised two daughters, LaKeya and Desiree.
At the age of 64, David departed from this life surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Evandy Neal; wife, Deborah Neal; grandson, Brandon Neal; and a host of other family and friends.
David worked numerous jobs to provide for his family. Some places of his employment included Federal Glass, Sears Distribution, Eddie Baurer, and T. Marzetti. He spent the football season cheering for his favorite teams. Despite living in Ohio, he was a devoted fan of the University of Michigan Wolverines and Pittsburgh Steelers.
David leaves to cherish his memory: mother, Thelma Neal; brother, Fred (Mozella) Neal; daughters, LaKeya (Willie) Toles and Desiree Neal; future son-in-law, Jamaal Miller; bonus sons, Vincent, Meldrum, and Tajuan Briley; grandchildren, Malakye, Tyson, Nehemiah, Sadie and Ava; caregiver and nephew, Charles Neal; host of loved ones, including aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

    Dearest Cousin Thelma, I know I have not seen you in many years but, have thought of you all often. My sincerest sympathies to all of the family. To all of the family that I have not met, my deepest sorry in this difficult time. I do truly understand how you all feel. It has been 5 years since we lost my brother William Wade (Bill Bill) Parks, Jr.,, with unexplained circumstances. I still miss my only blood brother. I reached out to his best friend to be my brother now, he said yes. His name is Troy Neal. Please reach out to our Higher Power, to each other, to friends, clergy, meditation and whoever can soothe your feelings of your loss. The doctor diagnosed me with MS and I have been sick all of my life. I am 67 years old now, and live at Stonespring of Vandalia Nursing Facility in Vandalia, Ohio.
