David LeeAndre’ Hodge, age 35 passed away on October 27, 2016.
He attended The Columbus City Schools.
Yummy and Blue as David was affectionately called loved animals, music, fishing, and drawing. He was a master at video games. He took pride in his appearance so he loved to hit the weights to keep his abs tight.
The love of his life was his 3 precious daughters. He also cherished his Nana as he was Nana’s boy.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents.
His memories will be cherished by his parents, Rico Lawrence and Joan ( John ) Gresson; daughters Alexus Pace, Unyque Kinney and Skular Kinney; brothers, Javon Kinney, Joshua Kinney, Johnny Gresson , Mario Collins, Isaiah Pinkston; sisters Shmeeka Collins, Ricca Lawrence, Elyse Robinson, Rayrica Woodley, Adrienne (Carl) Hicks, Tereka (Anthony) Daniels; grandmother Trudy Kinney; great grandmother Mildred Martin; grandfather Wilbur Gresson; grandfather James Orr; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
David will be missed by all that had the pleasure of loving and knowing him.
Visitation 12:00 noon and Funeral 1:00pm Friday November 4, 2016 at MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. I am so sorry for your loss and I will have a special place in my heart always for Dave… I called him my” toast” I will miss him and his bright personality he never seemed to be upset like he was always in a good mood no matter what was going on… Always smiling and laughing.. I loved Dave very much we dated for a year almost and it was a love I had never felt before…a love that made all our friends grossed out from the affection lol but we loved each other…. I miss laying in bed watching movies flirting cracking jokes just loving each other… And when it came to an end we were very good friends until his last days… I can’t believe it was his time but God is great and I will have faith in his plan I love u toast I will be there in time to “holla at your face” xoxo rip babe

To David’s Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss and want to extend my condolences to the family. Death is an enemy to us all and death was never a part of God’s original purpose for us and he has promised to eliminate death forever in Revelations chapter 21 verses 3 and 4. Soon the very words that Jesus spoke regarding the resurrection in John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 which reads in part that “All those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” will take place and allow us the opportunity to welcome back our loved ones. What a happy time that will be to see them again and live forever on a paradise earth forever! Psalms 37 verse 29. May theses scriptures bring you a measure of comfort and a real hope for the future and seeing David again.
