David “Radio” Evans, Sr

David was born July 9, 1960 in Beckley WV and later in life moved to Columbus, OH, so of the late James and Lyvonia Evans. He served his time in the US Army with an honorable discharge.

David had a love of fishing, working on cars, and hunting on the Evans Hill, he was co-founder of The Saddle Tramp M.C. which he found great joy in riding with. David had a passion for cooking and telling jokes, which he knew would make everyone smile. He also had a great love for his family, especially his kids and grandkids.

David fought a long and hard battle with his wife Doris (Laney) Evans and his family by his side and always stated “I will die with cancer and not from cancer”.

David is preceded in death by his parents, James and Lyvonia Evans; and four siblings, James Evans, Jr., Donna L (Missy) Evans, Marie Evans, and Cynthia Evans.

David leaves to cherish his memory wife, Doris Evans; children, Biggie Phares, David Braze (Tameka) Evans, Jr., Jason (JoAnn) Bowles, Ramona Bowles, and Anthony Lewis; eight siblings, Roger (Linda) Evans, Edgar (Gloria) Evans, Lawrence (Cheryl) Evans, Lorenzo Charles (Greta) Evans, John (Susan) Evans, Richard (Yvette) Evans, Justine (Charles) Slaughter, and Linda (Robert) Bell; four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends; including a very special family member, faithful dog Earl Evans.

Visitation 11:00am and Funeral 12:00pm Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at The Meeting Point, 2866 Noe Bixby Road.
