David Tucker was born October 10th, 1943 to the late Henry Tucker and Ruby Muriel Wright Gray. He was born in the city of Dayton, Ohio and moved to the city of Columbus, Ohio to finish his schooling at East High School. He later worked at Buckeye Steel as a crane operator then venturing to retire from Battelle.
He was an avid bowler where he met his wife of 42 years, DeVonne (Ross) Tucker. They joined in holy matrimony on January 7, 1978. He was a member of Columbus Bibleway Church and became a committed member of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church where he knew the Lord as his personal savior and served on the Senior Usher board for several years.
David is preceded in death by his parents, the late Deacon Charles and Ruby Gray, Father, Henry Tucker and Brother-in-Law, Robert Menafee. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, DeVonne Tucker; daughter, April (Ron) Small of Stockton, California; sons, Dale (Tammie) Tucker, Darnell Tucker; daughter DaVona (Ric) Chapman; brothers Henry (Andrea) Tucker III, Philip (Sharon) Tucker, Jeffrey Tucker, Kevin Tucker, Jan Juan Tucker; sisters, Norma Jean Menaffee, Gayle Stevens, and Grace (James) Blue; and a host of nieces, nephews and grandchildren.
Public Viewing 8:00am – 9:00am and Private Family Funeral 10:00 am Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Triedstone Baptist Church 858 E. 3rd Ave. Mask and Social Distancing are required. Interment at Glen Rest. Ministry of Comfort entrusted to MARLAN J. GARY FUNERAL HOME, THE CHAPEL OF PEACE EAST, 5456 E. Livingston Ave. Services will be streamed at www.TriedstoneBaptistChurch.org.

All I can offer through the Holy Spirit is that, David/Dad will always be with you every time a happy memory cross your mind.
